of tapeworm that is inside of a flea, so youshould ask yourself whether your pet has evidence of a flea infestation. the other way is toeat a critter like a mouse or a rabbit. puppies and kittens are constantly infested with roundwormsat birth. so when you obtain your kitten it probably has roundworm and your veterinarianwill recommend a routine de-worming. another type of intestinal parasite that is very seriousis hookworm. these type of parasites are microscopic tiny smooth worms that you can't see withthe naked eye that can be seen under the microscope. they will actually attach inside the intestinesof the pet and suck their blood. the fourth type of parasite seems less common its calledwhip worms sometimes whip worms are not diagnosed because they are shed in the fecal samplevery intermittently . if your pet has symptoms

What Is Bloat In Dogs

it's time for...fan friday?but... not really! *music* *we're gone to the snow dogs**huskies howling* "aroooooo!" so, for those of you thatdon't follow us, over atyoutube.com/snowdogsvlogs you should be!

What Is Bloat In Dogs, currently, while you guysare watching this videowere actually camping with the dogs!were actually camping with...one (1), two (2), three (3), four (4), five (5)... six (6)... seven (7) dogs! if you wanna see a bunch of that adventure, you should check outyoutube.com/snowdogsvlogs

and also, go down in the videodescription below and check outall of our social media sites. hopefully will have enough internet tobe able to at least post photos,twitters... twitters? tweets, instagrams, snapchats, all of these fun things whilewere camping! so today, instead of doing atypical fan friday,i'm actually gonna answer questions that a lot of you had askedin the past.we've never actually done a full video on it. today were going to show you, what we keep in our doggiefirst aid kit. the reason i put together a newdoggie first aid kit. i thought i would share with you guyswhat we put in ourdoggie first aid kit. first thing we have!we go camping a lot,so this is extremely important.

this is called the'tick twister!'it have some instructions on the back. i actually got this at myvet's office and is use forremoving ticks from your pets if they get them.we hope...you can remove them from yourself too. we hope that we never get them.but, in case we dothis is one of the easiest and safest way to remove ticksfrom your pets. so, we have the 'tick twister!' next thing we have,we actually have an eye and eardropper. this can be used for a lotof different things, including like if you need to get a little bitof medicine onto a cut, like you can actually suck it up

from the eye dropper.you can use it for...using eye medicine, i have eye medicine as well.but, is always a good thingto have it, just in case you need it. you never know!you may need it! nail clippers!doggie nail clippers!these are good in case they crack a nail or break a nail.or if you just need to clip their nailswhile you are camping. always havedoggie nail clippers! tweezers! these are brand newand haven't even open em yet.you never know when, you are gonna need em. you might need em topull things out of theirfeet or pull burps out of their fur you can use tweezers to get, like little poking things out of them.

you never known, when you are gonna need themand yes! a lot of this stuff in thefirst aid kit, can also be usedfor people. hydrogen peroxide.now, before you even everuse something like this, talk to your vet and ask them, how to correctly use it. this can be used, if yourdog ingest somethingthat they shouldn't have. you can actually use peroxide,to make them vomit quickly.so... say you are at the campground and somebody leaves a 'hershey's'bar out, because you are eatingsmores and your dog decides to eat the rest of the 'hershey's' bar, which could considerably be a lot ofchocolate for one dog depending on their size. this, can help them to throw it back up.which means, it won't go through their body.

you always want to keep this aroundand keep handy, but again contact your vet before... before you go camping,so you know how to use itcorrectly. another good thing to have, that i don't actually have onmy box. i have it on my camper, is a copyof all your dogs health records, their vaccinations certificates, any current medications that theyare on when you go,whenever you go somewhere. make sure you know all those thingsand wherever you end upgoing to travel, if you are taking your kit traveling, have the local vet's phone numbersin your kit. those are other good things,i have over my camper. antiseptic spray! they cut themselvesor step on something?this just helps if

you can put it on likeminor cuts and scrapes.it's supposed to help.. to stop like it beingfrom aggravated and helplike cool it off. so... this is actually for dogs.i got this at 'meijer'. ear cleaning pads, because just never known, when somebody's gonna decide to dig like crazy and needsto have their ears clean out.you wanna make sure they don't have anything crazy stucked inon a dirt down.ear cleaning pads are always a good idea. allergy relief.again, another product, make sure you talk to your vet so, you know how to give thisto your dog properly, before you end up actually having to give it to your dog.but, this can be usedif your dog is stung by a bee,

or they have something, were they start swelling andhaving an allergic reaction, benadryl can actually helptake the swelling down. memphis and shelby, had both been stung by bees before and this is actually all weended up giving them.the other thing, this can be used for but, you don't always haveto use for if, you havea dog with high anxiety and you need to like, calm them down.sometimes, the benadryl will help calm them down.again, talk to your vetbefore giving this to your dogs. speaking of calming things,i actually keep calming chewsin my kit. again, because this stays in mycamper and i usually give theseto the dogs for their stress and anxiety

and i usually, give themto the dogs when we leave,if the car ride is gonna be really long like it's a six (6) hour car ride.i usually give it to em for the longercar rides. more actually in... at camp,i don't really give it to em that often. cause they usually do pretty good at campbut is just kind of distresses themfor the long ride. oakley is like,"i know what those are!" self adhering bandage wraps, because you never know, when you are gonna need it! instant cold packs, these arenice if one of your dogs gets hurt, falls, maybe has you know, a hurt paw or hurt shoulder,is good to have instant cold packs. is also good to have heat padsas well, just in case. we actuallyhave an electric blanket that we use.

rolled gauze. you know, they cancut themselves! if they cut themselvesyou are gonna need gauzes. you are gonna need the water proof tapeto hold the gauze on. you are hoping that these thingsnever happen, but they can. if you are a little further awayfrom the vet, you'll behappy you have some of this stuff. another good idea is,to have a splint.in my camper, we actually have a couple different piecesof wood, in case they breaka leg and you need to hold their legs straight.you can use the splint andyou can wrap the tape around so, that they're not try to move it.again, hopefullly somethingyou'll never need! cotton balls, cause if they cutthemselves, you might need it!

wound cream, if they get a minor wound, like a superficial wound, they just scrape something, this wound cream is kind of like, neosporin. kind of like tripleantibiotic ointment. actually, i have triple antibiotic ointmentas well, but wound cream isanother good thing to have. a thermometer, so you can checkyour dogs temperature, causeyou just never know when, you might need it. this is actually a solar thermometer,so i never have to worry aboutbatterys going dead, which is really nice.again, i haven't opened it!the other thing, you probably wanna have because with the thermometeryou do have to take the dogs temperaturerectally with this type of thermometer. have some 'vaseline petroleum jelly'in case you do have, to do that. we have some!is in our camper.

styptic powder.i don't actually know how you say it.styptic powder, stop bleeding powder. you can buy it pretty muchat any pet store.this is great if you cut their nails too close, you can put thison theirs and will stop the bleedinginmediately. don't use it on large cuts.again, talk to your vetso you can learn more how about how to use this correctly.don't use it on large cuts, but if they have a small cut that just won't stop bleeding.this will help coagulate the bloodand make it stop bleeding. mainly used on nails, whenthey cut the nails too close. 'opticlear'. this is basicallyeye wash for dogs.if they get something in their eye like they were to get dirtor something in their eyes, you can actually use this to flush

it out, or if they havelike a scratch in their eyes, they got dirt in their eye and got it out, but scratch their eye?this will help with theirritation on their eye. rounded tip scissors.see? rounded tip scissors. you can use them for like, cutting the bandages and stuff. or, if they have like sticky stuffstucked in the fur and you got to cuta chunk of their fur out, don't think it won't happen, cause sap is sticky and can getin dogs fur and cause nuts. this willl make it, so you cancut those out if you need to,without poking your dog. i told you!i have triple antibiotic ointment! we also keep a couple of wash clothsin here, just in case.you can use em for different things.

you can use em, if for some reasonif they get caught and you need to.you can wrap these around their legs as well. but, we keep em in their, just in casewe need them. a bag of small treats, very good thing to have,if your dog gets hurt they make it upset and agitatedand if you can positively reward themwith food, you maybe thankfully you have treats in yourfirst aid kit. we also have a little syringe, this is not a needle syringe. this is for administering medicineif we need to, or maybegetting water or something that we need to. can be used to cleaning out woundsif they have a wound and is dirty, you can actually fill this with a little bit of water and flushout the wound, if you need to.

now the rest of the stuff in this kitis something that you guys also askus about and this is the stuff we have for emergency bloat cases. the first thing i have, again talk to your vet before you use this. is called 'phazyme.'i talked to a lot of people whohave pets who had bloated and this has been a life saver formany of them. this relieves gas, so if your dogstarts to bloat, you can give your dog...again, talk to your vet. like for oakley's size, we would haveto give her two (2) and it wouldhelp break up the bubbles in their belly. if their stomach is already twisted, this isn't gonna do anything,if you do end up giving these to your dog, when you get to the vet,if your dog is bloating, make sure you tell your vet

that you gave these to your dog. the last thing is what you guys askthe most about in the past week or so.because of oakley and her bloating. this... has been drooled downby oakley, cause she thinksthere is food in the box! is our bloat kit.i'm gonna open it up and show youwhat's in it. cause dogs now thinks is food, cause is plastic.this is actually our bloat kit. we got it from this place,'para vet' and we bought thedeluxe bloat kit. it comes with a book thatactually gives you instructionson how to use everything in here. again, if you have a dog that'sprone to bloat or has bloated before, talk to your vet! they will explain to you,how to use this properly.this book will help as well.

the first thing it has, is a tube.if your dog is bloating, you have to get this tube down in their stomach, to get the gasand the air out of their stomach. to do that, you need a bite block.see how, this has a hole in it? that's because, if you try to putthis down your dog's throat, they are gonna bite on it and close it shot. so, what you do is put the bite block in.then, put the tube in and try to get itdown the dog's throat, which isn't easy, but can save yourdog's life, if you need it to. it also comes with an irrigation syringe.this, again so you can put medicine downin the tube, if you need to. it comes with doggie enzymesprobiotics. this is supposed, to helpbreak air bubbles inside the dog. it comes with bloat blaster, which is a lot like the facing pillsi showed you guys.

it is supposed to take largepockets of gas and breakthem down. so, that is what our bloat kitactually is. hopefuly will never ever, have to use it. but, we have seen it used before, when oakley bloated when we wereon 'drummond island.' that's exactly what the vet there used.he putted the bite block on oakley'smouth, put the tube down her throat. the vaseline, you put a little bit of vaselineor something on the end, tomake it slide a little bit easier, like lubrication. and he put it down in her throat.jamie held her front end along withthe vet. i held her back in and i lifted upand the air came out the tube,which... the last time, when that happened, that was last year.we believe that actually saved her life. if we weren't able to get the airout of her, she was over and hour (1)and fifteen (15) minutes to the emergency vet.

so... being able to know, how to use this in an emergency situation,if you are far away from an emergency vet, it really couldsave your dog's life. alright you guys!well, there you go.that is what we have in our personal first aid kitfor the dogs.again, i have other things in the camper as well, but that's the basic doggiefirst aid kit.you can buy pre-maded first aid kits, already made but,i kind of like to have my own, because i know what's in it and i know, what i boughtand i know, what we have. we hope you guys enjoyed this video. sorry is a bit differentfrom 'fan friday.' regular fan friday will returnnext week, so...

but i'll pull questions from last week's,actually, if you have a questionfor next week's fan friday leave it down in the commentsbelow using the hashtag#askgttsd (to memphis)you got a fly! is gone elsewhere!is not on you, i swear! and... hopefuly will be able to answerthem, next week.again, if you want to see the camping videos, youtube.com/snowdogsvlogs all our social sites are listed, down in the video description below. go follow us!maybe, we already posted somecool pictures of the dogs at the waterfalls and things like that, that you can go see. the 'spirithood' affiliate link isalso down in the video descriptionbelow.

Water Additive For Dog Breath

(huskies howling) "aroooooo!" alright, shi! everybody wants to knowhow we make your food, so i think it's about time we show em... (to shiloh) - ready to show em?

Water Additive For Dog Breath, alright, let's show em! first thing we need to dois preheat the oven to325f/160c... oops! anyway, you get the idea!

preheat the oven. now, you gotta get outour first ingredient. first ingredient is boneless, skinless chicken breast. put it in the roasting pan, then you got to put in the oven for about 45 minutes to an hour. absolutely, no seasonings.no additives. nothing is added to the chicken. (to shiloh) - you smell it already don't you? we have to cook it though.

i do want to remind you guys, though before i finished telling youhow to do this. this diet is specifically designed for shiloh. if you're interested in... if you have a dog that hassensitive stomach issuesand things like, the allergies? www.balanceit.comis actually where you can go anddesign a diet like this for your own dog. so you definitely don't want to do exactlywhat we're doing for your dogbecause it it may not work for your dog. this is designed specifically around shiloh's age, weight, allergies and breed actually. so remember that.you don't really want it because...shelby doesn't get this food. this is only shiloh's food.

one more thing. when i make thisi usually make ten pounds at a time, but since i only have one roaster i usually make this many and then,i got to put this many more in. so i actually have to do this twice. first batch of chickenis out of the oven. now, we're going to take it off this rack, move it to another rack, let it cool and... put the next batch of chicken, into the oven. (to shelby) - do you smell it?i'll bet that you can smell it! because shelby doesn't always getthe same special treatment,

i saved the chicken juicefrom the bottom of the pan, to mix on her dry food to make...make her think she's gettingsomething a little special. you look like you're waiting for something.are you waiting for something too? want a piece of chicken? oh! want a piece of chicken? now comes the loud part! once the chicken is cooked, i take it and i quarter, each of the breasts, because they're really big. and then what i'm going to do is,i'm going to take them andi'm going to use the food processor,

and i'm going to put them in the food processor, turn it on and it will spin aroundand be really loud. then, i dump it all in here.(laughter) so i have to take all thisand turn it into chicken dust... not really dust!like fine granules. then dump it into hereand then, we can move onto the next step. and now we have, chicken granules. the other nice thing aboutmaking it really fine like this, is when we mix it together in shiloh's foodinstead of having big chunks of chickenthat she can just pick out, she kind of has no choice, but to eat the chicken and the quinoa.

(to shelby) - right?(to shiloh) - right? i don't know why,you girls are in here?it smells like chicken in here! now, on to the next step... i need to take this chicken.i need to weight out to 99.2 grams, and then we put it in these little bags, and i roll them up and stick them in the freezer. so now we got to take the chicken, put in here and weight it out, put in the bag... ok! ready, set, go! there's all the chicken!i actually ended up with one month, plus two days of it. i just got to put it in the freezer and then...

i'll show you guys what i do when i take it out of the freezer for when i make shiloh's food. now i'm going to show you guys, what i do on a daily basis, when i actually make shiloh's food, now that all the prep work is done. first, gotta boil two cups of water. bring that to a boil. once the water is at a rolling boil,we're going to pour in 1 cup of quinoa. spells, q-u-i-n-o-a.you want to look it up,to find out what it is. it's a grain. it's actually consideredone of the super fruits.

that's interesting!my burner looks purple in here,in real life, is red. pour this into thetwo cups of boiling water and what i'm going to do is,bring it back to a boil. cover it, and then turn it down on mediumand cook it for 15 minutes. and yes, i realizedi said super fruits.i mean super foods! after 15 minutes, now it's done. now, what we do?part of the reason, that i freeze the chicken is... this is way too hot to feedto shiloh and she's kind of impatient. what i do is,i open this up,set it in the bottom of the bowl.

i pour this on top of it and let it cool. once it gets cool enough, then i'll add the additives to it. i'll show you guys how to do that. now it's time to mix inthe last few ingredientsinto shiloh's food. have to mix in, one (1) teaspoon of cod liver oil. a quarter (1/4) of a teaspoon of corn oil. just a quarter (1/4) of a teaspoon!a little tiny bit, for all this food! then... we add this supplement fromwww.balanceit.com

and for shiloh she gets one black scoopand eight white scoops and... here, i'll open it up and show you what it is. these are the scoop,so you guys have an idea when i say one black scoopand eight white scoops. the white scoops are little tiny scoopsand this is what the stuff looks like. is just powdered vitamin supplementthat i do have to mix intoher food to make sure she gets... so we add all this stuff together, and then it's ready for her to eat it. there you go, shi! now, she gets to munch on her food!

sometimes she'll eat the whole bowl.sometimes, she'll eat half of it. and actually what i'll do is, i'll end up putting it in the fridge, and i'll give the rest of it to her in the morning. really just depends on how she feels, whether or not she wants to eat it all. some of you have askedif she's gotten bored with it yet? she's still eating it,so i don't think she's gottenbored with it yet. so there is how,we have to take all that special time just to make special shoot... food? special food for special shi!

right shiloh?are you special? oh! you are special! yeah, and don't feel bad. shelby is special too! i usually, if i don't have chicken juice i'll sprinkle a little bit of the quinoainto shelby's food. today, i had leftover chicken piecesbecause i made more chicken,so i sprinkled that into her food. shelby doesn't get left out,she gets treated special too. shiloh just gets treated extra special.
