10X10 Dog Kennel

aloha.this screencast is going to show how to do section anchors in contribute.a section anchor is a bookmark within a page that allows you to link directly to that bookmarkrather than linking to the top of the page. i'm going to show you how to create sectionanchors in contribute and how to use them. so here i have a page that i'm going to createthe section anchor. i edit the page, find the section that i want to create the anchorat. so i'm going to link to the student academic complaint policy. i put the insertion pointwhere i want to create that anchor, and go to the insert menu, and choose section anchor.and here's where i name the section anchor. and now you can see there's a little flagshowing the anchor. now i simply publish the

page. i get the message saying that my pagehas been published, and when i scroll down, you won't see anything different. as i mentioned,it's a hidden anchor, or a hidden bookmark. so now i go to the page that i want to linkto that academic complaint policy anchor, edit this page, and i'm going to change thislink here to that policy page. but, as you can see, there's a ... under advanced options ... there's a section anchor that i can now choose that academic complaint policy anchor that i recentlycreated. and you'll notice it adds a little hash-academic complaint policy in the href.and click ok. you'll also notice down here it shows that this link now includes thatsection anchor. so i publish, and i can test that out by clicking on the link. and youcan see it puts that academic complaint policy

directly at... it takes me directly to thatsection of the page. and that's how you create a section anchor in contribute.
