hello to our goldfinch fans channel subscribers. today we will talk about one of the frequently requested subjects which is how to have the perfect goldfinch bird! therefore, we will give you a few advices, by following which, you’ll have a perfect bird.. before starting i’d like to note that all goldfinch birds mate and sing regardless of what they sing or how good they sing. as said before, all goldfinch birds mate and sing only if the following steps are followed

Ivomec For Dogs, our first advice is to create a strong bond between you and your bird by putting the bird in front of you for a little while everyday so it can recognize its owner and won’t fear him/her anymore some birds might get used to the cage to the point they ‘the birds’ would stop singing the moment they see humans. since these birds got used to the cage life, but not their breeder. that’s why it’s important to create a bond between you and your bird. even when filling the birds feeder/ waterer, you have to make sure you do it gently so the bird can see that, and know you are the one who gives it food ‘without shaking the cage for that will only scare the bird’ the second advice it ‘birds sunbathing’, which plays an important role in obtaining vitamin d which stimulates the absorption of bone-strengthening calcium in the bird’s body.

it also soothes the bird and protects it from different type of parasites our 3rd advice is ‘birds bathing’ which is considered as the birds’ hormone of happiness, as it cleans, smooths their feathers and help remove parasites therefore, i recommend doing that everyday on hot days, and at least twice a week on cold days provided that there’s no cold air current and the temperature is 25-26 c. an important thing i’d like to draw your attention to is the fact that some breeders feed their birds nothing but alpiste … which is absolutely wrong. let’s take for example this type of seed … if you only feed your bird alpiste then you only provide the bird with energy and prevent it from many vitamins found in the seed mix. this mix for example, it has a variety of seed types and each of which has balanced vitamins that the bird needs furthermore, the cleanness and the quality of seeds is very important. take these 2 types of seed for example we can see that this type is sort of old and dusty

which can cause infections and other diseases in the bird’s intestines. that’s why i advise you to make sure that your bird’s seed mix is clean and isn’t out of date. also squid bone is an important source of calcium for birds, therefore, it has to be in their cage all the time. and if possible, give your birds coal mixed with sea sand for it helps in cleansing the bird’s intestines and in breaking down the seeds. moreover, coal protects the birds from toxin by absorbing it form its intestines. moving to the next point which is creating a schedule in which you add poached eggs, ants’ eggs, and worms if possible, even if it was once a week. for not only is animal protein beneficial to birds, but also necessary. when the bird is in nature, it feeds on worms and ants’ eggs. but when the bird is raised in cage ‘as pet’ we can give it poached eggs once a week (if we couldn’t have ants’ eggs & worms)

green leaves such as: rocket and turnip.. and also green apples. these leaves and fruits are rich in fiber which helps in digestion. they, too, are high in vitamins that the bird needs it’s also important to change the bird’s water everyday, and use mineral water instead of tap water. since tap water contains chlorine which is harmful to the birds. plus, cleaning and sterilizing the cages on a daily and weekly biases. when it comes to cleaning cages, it should be done everyday, especially before the bird’s sleeping time. because parasites accumulate and move usually at night to suck the bird’s blood therefore, it’s recommended that the bird sleeps in a clean place. that’s why we clean the cage everyday at night instead of morning. when we said ‘cleaning on a weekly biases” we meant cleaning the feeders and waterers. we wash it and clean it very well. one way to prevent parasites from accumulating is to use drops, and one of which is ivomec; one drop behind the neck, once every 6 months.

and also sterilizing the cage by adding few drops of ivomec to water and spray the cage with it. fast and proper treatment is a must once you notice that the bird is infected/sick. and the bird should not be left untreated by any means. the bird also should be placed away from anything that may cause fear, e.g., children, cats.. etc. because it needs to feel safe, and if that will stimulate it to sing and become more vital. make sure that there’s no cold air current where the bird’s at (the temp. should be mild: 25+ c) we should, too, add garlic and apple cider vinegar to the bird’s diet as immunity boosters. we add 4 drops of apple cider vinegar to the waterer once a week or ⼠clove of garlic in the waterer once a week. in order to boost the bird’s immunity. finally, i’d like to stress on the importance of the bird’s sleeping pattern

what do we mean by that? it’s when the bird is awake from sunrise to sunset. this sleeping pattern plays a major role in bringing it into breeding condition and controlling its biological clock so, if the bird sleeps from sunset to sunrise, then be certain that your bird will come into breeding condition by spring another thing i’d like to note, it’s that these steps/advices should be done throughout the whole year and all the stages feather molting/ brining the bird into breeding condition/ mating, all of which are sequential stages and the care should be given throughout the whole year not just during these stages. and as said before, all goldfinch birds mate and sing if we just followed some of the steps follow mention earlier. this is the end of this video,
