Marion County Dog Shelter

colonial capital humane society is in desperate need of more foster families ahead of hurricane matthew. we first told you about the request yesterday. the animal shelter says there are still six dogs and dozens of cats needing a place to stay. "all of the dogs are very well

maintained but as you see they're in an outside shelter. a normal thunderstorm that'd be fine but with the hurricane that was predicted to hit us as of last friday, we went on and started making arrangements for these

guys." if you're interested in fostering an animal.. you can pick one up today and tomorrow.. and bring the animals back on monday. humane society volunteers ask pet owners to keep your pet inside.. as the weather could

make it dangerous for your animals to roam outside during the storm.
